Yeah. Thrifted fabric is just the best! I use it all the time! You have to be patient though. If you want a specific type of fabric in a specific color, it might be difficult to find. It doesn't mean you have to give up. Sometimes, it just takes time. I would reccomend Vintage Fashion Guild when it comes to identifying a mystery fabric. It can be very helpful!
Hi! Since I don't see an answer to your question yet, I'll do it. I'll use patterns that are here to explain and drawings that accompany them
Appearance Drawing - how clothing should look like while laying down.
Perspective Drawing - shows seams hidden under layers of fabric, not visible.
Expansion Drawing - shows how each element is connected and their dimensions after sewing them together.
Detail Size Drawing - Pattern you can draw based on showed dimensions. Everything is in millimeters. The additional lines are the seam allowance.
I also recommend looking up hanfu for dummies. In the shuhe B section you can see how the collar is attached.
155 is your height in cm and 80 is your chest circumference. A means a general body type. Look into the Guide of Chinese Traditional Hanfu Sewing Patterns in Hanfu Making. Everything about how to use these patterns should be there.
No
Well, I don't like it. Especially the ones generating images. People say that these are fed with art and authors of said art are not always aware that their art was stolen and fed to AI. And it is not good. It makes the effort artists put in their art seem not important. I think. I'm pretty sure there are many angles to this topic and I don't really like it so I don't know much about it beside what people around me say. So I don't think I can say more than that. AI is risky because we don't really know how it will evolve over time. It may prove to be dangerous. But no one can say that for sure.
Oh, wait, I saw it wrongly, sorry. It's just the shadow. Oops? Good job regardless!
Ooh! It looks great! If I see this correcty, the skirt is embroidered right? Did you use machine for that or did you or someone else did it?
.
It's my first loom. I've got it 5 years ago during my summer trip. It's good but the looms made from the wooden frame with nails are good too. They can be bigger with warp being more dense. You can make really big things with these. This one is for small projects.
Sure. I wanted to do it again so I think it should be done this week.
