Size fitting problem TwT

I'd love to get a mamian qun but there's a problem: since those skirts seem to require rather accurate proportions in relation to the given size guide, I might not be able to properly wear one (if not especially sewn for me but I have to time for that).
My body proportions are fitting for size S but I'm 178cm tall (size XL) so most waist-fitting skirts are way too short and skirts long enough don't really fit like they should either.

Any ideas on what I should do?
Ignore the waist measurements or the length or idk something else?
