Hi all you knowledgable folks! Does anyone have well sourced information on how ancient Chinese people dyed their fabrics? Did they use the same plants as in Europe, like madder, woad, kermes, murex shells, etc? How did they make the imperial back and red of the Han emperors? and such questions. Thanks!

I really love that deep red color with the white accents on the collar and sleeves. It looks very festive and would be great to wear on Chinese New Year’s.
