Do you know what kind of make-up this is? In fact, the two dots around a woman's mouth in Tang Dynasty (618-907) make-up are called Mian Ye (面靥). The shape of the Mian Ye changed with the times. Before the glorious age of Tang Dynasty, the Mian Ye around the mouth were round dots like soybeans, but after the glorious age of Tang Dynasty, they became more big and varied, from coins to apricots and peaches.
