Zhuge Jin

Hi all,
Do you have any info on how the Zhuge Jin or Guanjin (Zhuge Liang's Hat) was made? I mean as historically accurate as possible. Not the super large and square version we see in some dramas and in the 3rd picture. I guess I could get away with a cardboard and wire lining, but I was really wondering how they did it historically.
