Some of the embroidery on modern hanfu is some popular elements, I guess, which may just cater to festivals or decoration.
The more common embroideries and patterns are plants and animals, such as dragons, phoenixes, fish, cranes, peonies, plum blossoms, etc., all of which have a good meaning.
Thanks for your reply, but I prefer some styles without embroidery, do you know anything about it?
Embroidery is also a selling point of hanfu. But there probably are some hanfu styles that only have a basic pattern on the fabric and simple embroidery on the edge that you can focus on.
+1
There are some patterns that are very similar to the Chinese art of paper cutting.
Really? 😲 It must be so pretty
I know there is a flower pattern formed by lotus and peony, called Baoxiang, which means perfection and holiness.
