On 20 April 2019, cherry blossoms are in full bloom in Parc de Sceaux in southern Paris. The French Boyan Association and Parc de Sceaux in Hauts-de-Sein held the fifth Cherry Blossom Shangsi Festival (上巳节).
So what is Shangsi Festival (上巳节)?
Shangsi Festival has a long history in China. Originally, it was for eliminating evil, bathing and praying, and welcoming spring and summer. After the Wei and Jin Dynasties, it was fixed on the third day of the third month of the lunar calendar.
In this splendid spring day, Chinese Hanfu enthusiasts show the French people the classical Chinese culture. Many French people are actively involved in it.
