01 Silk
Choose silk detergent, dilute it in the water below 30 degrees, do not soak it for a long time, 5-10 minutes is enough.
Use both hands to press gently during washing, avoid rubbing hard.
No need to wring, pull flat and put in a cool and ventilated place, do not dry and expose to the sun, easy to fade.
Drying and ironing flat in time, ironing needs to cover the clothes with a white cloth, not direct contact ironing.
02 Cotton and linen
Hand wash: wash at a water temperature below 30 degrees and use a soft, neutral detergent.
Machine wash: fold the hanfu and place it in a laundry bag and then put it in the washing machine, select gentle mode and wash in cool water.
Linen is a pure plant fiber, avoid contact with acid. Do not use collar agents and other highly effective detergents, just dry after washing with normal ventilation.
Cotton and linen clothing is highly heat-resistant, you can use high-temperature steam ironing.
03 Acetate fabrics
Dry cleaning, hand washing, and machine washing are all possible, but they are not acid-resistant.
Washing tries to choose neutral soap or detergent, water temperature is not more than 40 degrees.
Do not wring too much, dry naturally with water, and avoid exposure to the sun.
Ironing can be done by turning the hanfu over and ironing from the reverse side, and the ironing temperature should not exceed 130 degrees.
04 Polyester
Can be hand washed or machine washed, the water temperature should not be too high, you can use the usual laundry detergent or washing powder.
Again, machine washing requires folding the hanfu into a laundry bag. If the hanfu has more embroidery, fold the embroidery in the lining to avoid hooking.
Drying should be done in a cool place to avoid the hardening of chemical fibers due to exposure to the sun.
05 Woolen
If your woolen hanfu is only partially stained, it is recommended to clean it partially. You can mix baking soda, salt, soft laundry detergent and warm water, pour it into a spray bottle, spray it on the stained area and wipe it with a clean towel.
Hand wash with a special detergent to prevent shrinkage and pilling. Soak in warm water for about 5-10 minutes, rub gently, and use the washing machine to dehydrate after washing to prevent deformation.
When ironing, you need to pay attention to the temperature to maintain at about 160 degrees, not direct contact ironing!
06 Chiffon
Chiffon is a common fabric for hanfu and daily clothes, which is very good in abrasion resistance and not easy to pilling and creasing. Therefore, you can choose to hand wash or machine wash it.
Choose the daily laundry detergent that can be used, the water temperature is not more than 45 degrees, soak washing gently rubbed, with water to dry.
When machine washing, you need to use a laundry bag, fold the hanfu neatly into the bag, and then machine wash.

Pretty exhaustive thanks. However I have never seen a hanfu made of wool yet. I have read that generally we have to avoid washing woll and silk.
